The problem
Pricing decisions age fast. A seller who checks competitors by hand is working from last week's numbers, and the checking itself eats hours that nobody has. The task looks small until the scale is real: hundreds of products, dozens of sources, each with its own page structure, each changing without notice.
What was built
A real-time data aggregation engine tracking 500+ products across a large global marketplace and 40+ vendors. The architecture treats collection, cleaning, and storage as separate stages, so one source changing its layout breaks one collector rather than the whole pipeline. The output feeds competitive pricing analytics — the same product across sources, normalised and comparable.
The outcome
Price positions that used to be checked manually became a live dataset. The work also proved the pattern we reuse whenever a business needs data that lives outside its own systems: scheduled collection, a schema that tolerates messy sources, and monitoring that reports a broken feed instead of quietly serving stale numbers.
We collect only publicly available data, and we work within each source's terms.
Still deciding
Start the brief anyway. It takes about two minutes, every question has a "not sure" answer, and you will get a written reply within one business day telling you which of these fits — including the answer that none of them does and here is what we would do instead.
